Sanding & Salting
Ice is the real winter hazard. We apply sand and salt to keep driveways, walkways, and commercial lots safe and grippy through freeze-thaw, melt-and-refreeze, and icy mornings.
What we treat
Wherever ice puts people, vehicles, or footing at risk, we keep it gripped up.
Driveways and laneways
Traction where you park, turn, and walk to the door, especially on slopes and shaded spots that ice over first.
Walkways and entrances
Safe footing on the paths your family, staff, and customers actually use every day.
Commercial lots
Parking areas and access lanes kept grippy to cut down slip-and-fall and fender-bender risk.
Sand or salt?
They do different jobs, so we choose the right one for your surface and the day's temperature.
Salt
Melts ice and stops it bonding to the surface. Best on paved driveways and lots when it is not too far below freezing.
Sand
Adds instant grip on top of packed snow and ice, and keeps working in deep cold when salt slows down. The safer choice on interlock and sealed surfaces.
Applied when it matters, before someone slips
We treat surfaces as needed through the season, with your clearing visits or on call when conditions turn icy. Commercial properties get priority, so your lot is safe before staff and customers arrive.
Sanding and salting FAQ
Is salt safe for my driveway?
On most paved surfaces, yes, used appropriately. For interlock, stamped, or sealed surfaces we lean on sand to protect the finish.
Do you do homes and businesses?
Both. Driveways, walkways, and entrances for homes, and parking lots and access lanes for commercial properties.
Is it included in my snow service?
It can be built into your seasonal contract or done as needed. Request a quote and we will set it up for your property.
